Well, I've been pondering it for a couple of months and I've decided to run a tourney out of keyhole reservoir next year. Date will be July 31, Aug 7, or Aug 21. I'm 90% sure that it will be a night tourney, probably something like 8pm to 7am. I've put a lot of thought into the rules, went back and forth in my mind as to how I wanted to work it as far as team member #'s and fish limits. What I think will be the most successful for this inaugural event will be kinda similar to the rod and reel rally tournament out of Drayton ND on the Red River. The two main differences will be that you can fish alone instead of having to be with at least one team member and the other will be that you can fish from shore. While I'm not super fond of this format, I feel that it will give us the best opportunity for the maximum number of participants. With catfishing not being super popular in Wyoming at this time, I feel that allowing for people to fish alone or with 1,2,3,or more people in their boat or party, will accomplish that goal. So the fish limit will be 1 fish per person, that should level the playing field quite a bit. If anyone out there has questions or comments, this is the thread to voice them. Hopefully we can get a few Montana catters to come down for a weekend.
