I am sure you guys have already seen that the tourney has been moved to the alternate date of August 15th due to flooding conditions near Drayton. Its good to
hear that it will still work out for you Lars, hopefully Harris and your bro will still be able to fit it in. Go MT Cats!

I talked to a guy from sioux city this weekend(might have been Doug Bruneau), he's fishing the Drayton and said it was a 22 mile stretch of river.

Something tells me the new 41 lb. 1 oz. ND State Record takes a little bit of the luster off of the Rod and Reel Rally's top selling point! ($30,000 for
the new ND state record channel cat)
"The $30,000 prize for a new ND record catfish went unclaimed. That record was set right here at the Catfish Capital of the North and we really want to break it! See you at Rod & Reel Rally, July 18, 2009!" - That is a quote from their website that promotes this years tourney. Maybe they should require you to get a MN license now and give $30,000 for a new MN record. Like the Ferret said last week though... "it is next to impossible to catch one that big in post-spawn.. he would have to be a 40 pounder earlier in the season." Now he really has to be! It is now really NOT possible. Good luck to anyone fishing the event, however, it should be a great time.
