just made a purchase on a cabelas King Kat 8' medium heavy rod equipt witha an Abu Garcia 6600! pretty excited to break it in for the big tourney on the
red! i didn't feel comfortable with my milk river rod bringing in the red river giants.

Let me know what you think of that rod. I was thinking they would be a little stiff for my preference. I actually just ordered the 6'6" model for the
girlfriend. I think it'll be perfect for the Milk or other small river catfish.

well i got it in and got to looking at my reel and the spool clicker switch was broken off it! but i called them up and convinced them to have the new one here
by thursday! but the rod isn't to terribly stiff it should be pretty sweet when bring in some big cats on the red! and i'm gonna try it out on the
yellowstone july 11 to break her in.

I received the 6'6" medium model last week. Looks like it'll be a sweet rod for the Milk. Definately not made for consistently battling the big
boys but should be an absolute blast on the 2-3 pounders.
